Full-Day Guiding/Interpreting
Seamless, professional navigation through the landmarks of Tokyo and Osaka or the ancient streets of Kyoto. This service provides high-fidelity storytelling and logistics management based on your provided itinerary.

Half-Day Guiding/Interpreting
A high-impact session up to 4 hours, perfect for mastering the local transit system, exploring a specific site and neighborhood, or providing consecutive interpretation for business/academic meetings.

Multi-Day & Extended Itineraries
For travelers and businesses planning extended journeys across Japan, I provide flexible logistics designed to maximize efficiency. By maintaining professional bases in both Tokyo and Kyoto, I offer strategic cost savings for itineraries centered in Japan’s primary hubs.

Mode of Transportation
As a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter, I am legally authorized to facilitate various modes of transportation during my service, provided the transportation is secondary to the guiding and no separate "driving fee" is charged.
Supported Transportation:
Private or Rental Vehicles (including commercial vehicles)
Shinkansen & Regional Trains
Subway, Bus, and Ropeway/Cable Cars
Vehicle Logistics:
If a client provides a vehicle, I will provide the necessary personal details for insurance verification.
Rental Vehicle Reference: Approximately ¥25,000 for up to 12 hours (excluding fuel, parking, and highway tolls).
Reference Tolls: Tokyo-Narita Airport: ¥2,600, Tokyo-Haneda Airport: ¥940
I can arrange pickup/drop-off at major airports.
I use premium 7-passenger vehicles (Toyota Alphard/Vellfire). Total luggage capacity is limited to 2–3 large suitcases when the vehicle is at full passenger capacity. For larger groups with heavy luggage, please contact me for a custom van quote.
Notes
Service Scope: This fee covers professional guiding/interpreting only. It does not include itinerary creation, transportation, or other expenses.
Preparation: Please share your tour plan and meeting details upon booking.
Bespoke Planning: For custom itinerary building, please book an Online Consulting session first.
Compliance: I do not engage in or facilitate any activities that violate Japanese law.
B2B / Agency Services: I accept bookings from travel agencies. A formal contract can be issued upon request; an administrative fee may apply for complex contract management.
Standard Hours: 09:00 – 17:00 (Includes a 1-hour break).
4-Hour Plan Upgrade: If a Half-Day (4-hour) session exceeds the allotted time, it will automatically be upgraded and billed at the Full-Day (8-hour) rate.
Overtime (Single Day): Billed at ¥11,000 per hour for any time exceeding 8 hours or outside the 09:00–17:00 window.
Overtime (Multi-Day): The first and last day are billed at ¥11,000/hr. Mid-reservation days are billed at a discounted rate of ¥5,000/hr.
Travel Expense Policy
General Expenses: Clients are responsible for all third-party costs, including transportation, meals, and entrance fees for themselves and the guide. While my professional license grants free entry to most public sites, any applicable guide fees at private venues are the responsibility of the client.
Out-of-Area Travel: For services requiring travel between Tokyo and Kyoto or to other regions, additional transit and lodging fees may apply and will be quoted upfront.
Strategic Savings (Tokyo/Kyoto): No lodging fees are charged if the venue is within a 90-minute commute (including transit/driving) from my Tokyo or Kyoto bases.
Regional Transition: For itineraries connecting the Kanto (Tokyo) and Kansai (Kyoto/Osaka) regions, the client covers the Guide’s Shinkansen transit (Reserved Seat).
Expeditions & Lodging: For travel to other regions (e.g., Hakone, Nikko, Nakasendo, Hokkaido, Okinawa), the client provides the Guide’s accommodation and a meal allowance of ¥5,000/day if meals are not shared (Lunch: ¥2,000 / Dinner: ¥3,000).
Travel Day Fee: A ¥30,000 flat fee applies to days spent solely on transit to/from remote destinations (no guiding performed).
Cancellation Policy
Standard Single-Day Bookings:
8+ Days Notice: 100% Refund (minus any credit card processing fees).
2–7 Days Notice: 50% Cancellation Fee.
Within 48 Hours / No-Show: 100% Cancellation Fee.
Multi-Day & Expedition Bookings (2+ Days):
Confirmation to 28 Days Prior: 10% Cancellation Fee.
15–27 Days Prior: 30% Cancellation Fee.
8–14 Days Prior: 50% Cancellation Fee.
2–7 Days Prior: 75% Cancellation Fee.
Within 48 Hours / No-Show: 100% Cancellation Fee.
